LYCEUM #3 Microplastics
Virtual Lyceum #3: Microplastics in Lake Champlain on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020

The Grange turns INSIDE / OUT this fall to provide movies, lectures, music, and more via Zoom and other digital platforms. To help keep everyone healthy, we’ll be presenting great programs that you can be part of wherever you are.

Lyceum lecture #3: Elizabeth Lee, local educator and Grange board member, and SUNY Plattsburgh professor Danielle Garneau, will present the latest research on the impact of microplastics released into Lake Champlain by water treatment plants in Vermont and New York.

The Fall Lyceum lectures will be presented via Zoom. You can access them through your computer, smartphone, or by dialing in on a regular phone (audio only). You must register IN ADVANCE so we can email you the Zoom link. You can register for the entire series or for an individual lecture. We will record the lectures and make them available later if you can’t watch them live.

The Zoom Event is Free and Open to the public, but registration is required.  Links may be found at the Grange’s Website.  This series is underwritten by the Glenn and Carol Pearsall Adirondack Foundation, ‘Dedicated to improving the quality of life for year-round residents of the Adirondack Park’ (www.pearsallfoundation.org).

The Lyceum Series continues with Uneasy Inquisition:  The John Brown Statue in North Elba on October 27th, Intro to Agroforestry, Theory and Practice on November 10th, and Update on Climate Change in the Adirondacks on November 17th.  Visit www.thegrangehall.info for additional links and information.
